Adding Articles

Note: before adding article, you need to prepare the content and image files of your article. For image file, there should also be a thumbnail image file to put into the snippet of the article.

At the main article content page, go to Add Article box and do the followings.

  1. First, specify the category for the article by selecting the value in Category: drop down list.
  2. Type the name of article in Subject: field
  3. Click mouse on the empty space of Snippet: area to move the cursor there. Notice that the cursor is at the middle of the space.
  4. Click mouse on Justify Left button to move the cursor to the left.

To put the thumbnail image in the snippet, do the followings.

  1. Click on Image button.
  2. When Image box appears, click on a yellow folder button.

Another box with the title “Asset manager” appears, do the followings.

  1. Click Browse button
  2. Choose file box will appear. Browse to the thumbnail image file you want. Click it to select.
  3. Click Open button to go back to Asset manager box
  4. Click OK to confirm

You will be back to Image box again. Now do the followings.

  1. Click on Insert button.
  2. The thumbnail image will display on left of the space with the “selected” status (with rectangle anchors display around it.)

  1. next, start typing the intro paragraph of the article next to the thumbnail image. You may copy the text from your word file and paste it right at the cursor is.

To move the paragrahp up to the same level of the thumbnail image. Do these.

  1. click on the thumbnail to select it. (There will be anchors appear around it.)
  2. click on Image button.
  3. When Image box appears, in Alignment: drop down list, try changing the value and see the result in the preview area below. When you are done with it, set the value to “left
  4. You may notice that the paragraph of text is right next to the thumbnail image. To insert a little space (about 10 pixel wide) on the right side of thumbnail image, input “10″ in Right: field.
  5. Click on OK button.

The paragraph of text will be moved up to the right side of thumbnail image. If you preview the article right now, the result will be like the picture below.

  1. Move down to Article: part and input full detail of the article including text and images.
  2. When finished, click Save Article.
